On Monday April 21, 2013 a committee of administrators, teachers, classified employees, and parents representing each school site in San Marcos convened to begin the process of examining attendance areas to accommodate future growth.

San Marcos Unified School District has been utilizing this program for 8 months and has saved the Landfills from over 4500 bags of trash, they are educating the children in waste preservation, and making a large impact on our environment, and saving money in waste disposal costs.
