Senator Wyland's office presented Resolutions to two of our business partners in recognition of their outstanding partnerships with the WorkAbility I program at San Marcos Unified School District.  The businesses honored by Senator Wyland for their partnership with San Marcos Unified School District were Kindred Transitional Care and Rehabilitation (Village Square), and Residence Inn by Marriott - San Diego North/San Marcos.

Both businesses partner with SMUSD's WorkAbility I W.E.S.T. program (Work Experience for Students in Transition) to provide work experience and internship opportunities for our students. These partnerships are instrumental in providing students mentorship, guidance, supervised training and on-going evaluation. This has played an important and necessary part in allowing students to achieve success and confidence, not only at their training site, but also in life.
